Although the origin of the term ‘French fries’ seems to be up for debate, most people do seem to agree the tasty fried potato originated in Belgium. Whenever I visit this cute little country, mission #1 is to find the best friterie in the area where I’m staying. A little research is require but at the end of the day you’ll find one chip shop stands out amongst the competition.
These beauties were discovered in the capital Brussels (yeah, I like my chips salty). I unfortunately forgot to note the name of the place but I do remember where it is located. So I’m now obligated to go back to Brussels to find the name of this place and test a few others, just to be sure I’ve found the best Belgian chips in Brussels.
