Brussels is without a doubt the chocolate capital of the world. I’ve sampled chocolates from France, Switzerland, Germany, America and elsewhere but there is just something about Belgian chocolate that puts them a head above the rest. It’s exactly a year since I’ve been to Brussels but I haven’t forgotten how tasty the chocolates were including the complimentary chocolate tasting plate we had at the Sofitel.
Our ‘chocolate crawl’ started at Pierre Marcolini, known for his unique and unusual flavours.
There are many small, independent chocolatiers in Brussels and we tried a few of them along with well known brands like Godiva.
Neuhaus chocolates are delicious too and are perfect for supplying you with your afternoon sugar fix.
